My Healing Journey with Intuitive Bowls

In 2022, I created my very first intuitive bowl.
At the time, I was spending a lot of time by the river on what I liked to call my wellness walks. During these walks, I found myself collecting little treasures from nature like flowers, leaves, feathers, stones and anything else that caught my eye.
My daughter had an old bowl from a birthday gift set, that she kept in her fairy garden. We created this little fairy garden together when she was born. We thought it would be lovely for her to have her own little magical area filled with plants, lanterns, fairies, little ornaments that she could add to as she grew.
One day, I began arranging my nature treasures inside that bowl , creating little displays. Although I was often drawn to flowers and objects found in nature , I never limited myself to using only these . I might add a small elephant figure, a jigsaw piece or any other object that caught my attention. Sometimes I would simply take a flower that was beginning to look past its best from a vase in my home and place it in the bowl I was creating. There were no rules. I simply trusted what I was drawn to and allowed each intuitive bowl to come together in its own way.
Before I began, I would often set a simple intention or hold a question in my mind. Sometimes clarity would come as I was creating. Other times it would arrive days or even weeks later. Looking back, I now understand that this gentle creative process allowed my own inner wisdom to emerge.
Without even realising it, I had created something that would become a powerful part of my healing journey. Over time, I began referring to these little creations as my intuitive bowls.
More than a bowl: Reconnecting with my intuition

As I felt increasingly drawn to creating them, much like the time when I felt guided to study at the College Of Psychic Studies, I realised these bowls were helping me reconnect with something I had almost forgotten: my intuition.
For me, intuition is my inner knowing, the quiet wisdom that already exists within us all. In the busyness of everyday life we often stop listening.
The bowl itself isn’t important. You don’t even need to use a bowl, it could easily be a tray, a box or anything that feels right to you. What matters is creating space to slow down and reconnect with yourself.
As I gathered and arranged leaves, flowers, stones, feathers, twigs and other objects, my busy mind became quieter. I slowed down and I felt myself moving away from the overthinking and into a calmer more creative space where intuition and imagination could naturally emerge. In that quiet, meditative state, I found it easier to reflect, trust myself and make decisions that felt right for me.
What The Intuitive Bowls Gave Me

Over time, I realised that these simple creations were helping me in ways I had never expected.
Healing and Reflection
They became part of my healing journey, helping me process emotions such as sadness, grief, anxiety, worries and old emotional wounds that I hadn’t been able to express through words. The process helped me to slow down, be present and gently reflect on thoughts and feelings I may have been avoiding.
Play and awakened my Inner Child
Creating the bowls awakened my sense of playfulness, curiosity and child-like wonder. They reminded me that healing doesn’t always have to feel so heavy or serious.
Creativity
They opened the door to creativity and helped me move away from logical thinking and into a more intuitive, imaginative space. They inspired my writing and many other creative ideas that followed.
Today, I still create intuitive bowls often with each changing season (summer, autumn, winter, spring) or whenever my intuition guides me. I also love creating them with my daughter. It has become a simple yet meaningful way for us to connect with nature, creativity and each other.
And the rest, as they say, is history
Psychic and Intuitive Development
Around the same time I began creating intuitive bowls, I was also studying psychic and intuitive development through various courses and workshops at the College Of Psychic Studies.

As my intuition deepened, I noticed the bowls worked in a similar way to tarot cards. Just as tarot cards use imagery and symbolism to spark insight, the objects within my bowls began to do the same for me. Each object seemed to hold meaning, and the way they came together told a story.
I realise these stories reflected my own journey. They helped me understand and make sense of what I was experiencing in the present moment. They gently guided me towards choices that felt right for me and encouraged me to trust my own inner knowing.
Creating intuitive bowls for others
As my confidence grew, I also began creating intuitive bowls for other people. Much like a tarot reading, themes naturally emerged through the objects that reflected what was most relevant for the person at the time.
Sometimes I also create an intuitive bowl in my garden, not for one individual but for the collective.
Before I begin, I may ask:
“What guidance is needed right now?”
The themes that emerge often reflect what many seem to be experiencing collectively at that time.
Rachael’s Reflections

Looking back now, I realise these intuitive bowls were helping me heal long before I understood why.
Over the years, each bowl became a reflection of where I was in life. Some reminded me to create healthier boundaries or make healthier food choices. Others encouraged me to let go, be kinder to myself or simply slow down. Without even realising it, each bowl became another chapter in my healing journey.
For me, intuitive bowls are much more than beautiful displays. They are portals to intuition, insights, reflection, creativity, healing, self-discovery and personal growth.
They remind me:
“Healing doesn’t always happen through talking. Sometimes it happens through creating .”
There is no right or wrong way to create an intuitive bowl. It doesn’t need to look artistic or perfect. Simply gather what you are drawn to, enjoy the process and allow yourself to play.
You may be surprised by what unfolds.
An intuitive bowl gently invites us back to the wisdom that has always existed within.
“Go within or go without.”
HAVE A GO !
Why not create your own intuitive bowl?
This simple activity invites you to slow down, connect with nature and create space for reflection.
What you’ll need:
- A bowl, tray, box, container that feels right to you.
- A basket or bag for collecting your nature treasures.
- Natural objects such as flowers, leaves, sticks, stones, feathers or anything that catches your eye.
Step 1: Set an intention
Before you begin, take a few slow deep breaths. You may wish to hold a question in your mind, set an intention for the day or even gently repeat a positive affirmation.
Step 2: Gather your nature treasures
Head outside with your basket and collect the things you naturally feel drawn to. Don’t overthink it. Trust your intuition and enjoy the experience.

Step 3: Create and play
Arrange your treasures in your bowl (or any container, in whatever way feels right). There is nothing to get right, simply create, experiment and enjoy the process.

Step 4: Notice what arises
As you create pay attention to thoughts, feelings, ideas or memories that emerge.
You may experience an “aha!” moment while creating or your insights may arrive days or weeks later.
Trust the process.
Reflection Questions

Take a few moments to reflect. You may like to consider some of these questions:
What were you naturally drawn to?
How did you feel while creating your bowl?
Did any thoughts, memories or ideas arise?
If your bowl could speak, what message might it have for you?
Is there one small action you feel inspired to take?
You may like to write your reflections in a journal and notice what arises over the coming days.
Dear Wellness Warrior
I hope your intuitive bowls bring you healing, peace, creativity and joy, just as they have throughout my own healing journey.
Most of all, I hope you have fun creating them. May they help you reconnect with yourself, your inner child and the wisdom that already lies within you.
I also hope they create opportunities to spend meaningful, quality time with your children, family, friends and those you love, while inspiring you to keep moving forward through life with confidence, curiosity and purpose.
Thank you for continuing to share this journey with me, it means more than you will ever know.
With love,
WW Rachael xx
